KUTZTOWN, Pa. - The Kutztown University student group Allies will host an interactive screening of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show, " at 7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 30 in the McFarland Student Union Multipurpose Room (218). This event is free and open to the public.
Students, faculty and community members are invited to dress up as their favorite character to participate in the accompanying activities.
The cult classic began its remarkable life not as a film, but as a small production in London written by author and actor Richard O'Brien. O'Brien also performs the role of Riff Raff in the film version of Rocky Horror.
The film is a tale of creation, love, hate, adventure and sex. Brad and Janet, newly engaged, stumble upon the castle of Dr. Frank N. Furter during a rainstorm. Taking refuge in the castle, they are present for the doctor's unveiling of his newest creation, Rocky. Everything goes downhill when the guests discover that Furter's motives for inviting them in are impure.
